Equal opportunities in the labour market

The Equal Opportunities Officers (Beauftragte für Chancengleichheit am Arbeitsmarkt “BCA”) at the Jobcenter München advise and support the Jobcenter München on issues relating to equal opportunities for women and men in the labour market and the compatibility of family and career. The aim is to reduce disadvantages in the labour market.

They are particularly concerned with improving the placement and integration opportunities of parents, single parents and women with and without children

• How can I get (back) into work after a family phase?
• Can I also do an apprenticeship part-time?
• How can I make my working hours more flexible?
• What qualification and further training opportunities are available at the Munich Jobcenter?
• Who can look after my children when I am working?
• Are there projects for equal opportunities in the labour market for women and men?

They inform and support

• Jobseekers, especially those with family responsibilities, for example (single) parents and carers
• Companies and their organizations
• Institutions and networks that are active in the area of work-life balance
• People with a migration background

They plan, organize and support events and projects on topics such as

• Compatibility of family and career
• advancement of women
• family-oriented personnel policy

Network

To this end, they engage in intensive networking with local partners.

We are a partner in regional and national working groups on the topic of equal opportunities, e.g. in the Network Rights for Women, Network Family Benefits and working groups of the City of Munich.
